Uranus makes over 15 flavors of fudge, all fresh daily in our on-site kitchen in St. Robert, Missouri. We asked Zackary Hoskins — Fudgepacker at the Uranus Fudge Factory — to rank every flavor from his personal favorite to least favorite, with his honest take on each one. He did not hold back.

This is not a marketing document. This is one man's deeply held fudge opinions, in order.

Zackary Hoskins, Fudgepacker — The Official Ranking:

1 — Blueberry Cheesecake

Blueberry Cheesecake Fudge

"This has been my favourite since Day 1. I would take this to my grave."

The strongest possible endorsement from someone who has access to every flavor every day. Blueberry Cheesecake is the flavor that surprises people most — they order it skeptically and come back for a pound. The tangy cheesecake base against the real blueberry is lighter than most fudge, which makes it the one you keep eating after you thought you were done.

If you only try one flavor you've never had before, this is the one Zackary would put in your hand.

#2 — Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel

Dark Chocolate Sea Salted Caramel

"Like a brownie with caramel on it."

The description is accurate and complete. Dark chocolate fudge with sea salt and caramel — the salt cuts the richness, the caramel adds depth, and the whole thing lands like the best brownie you've ever had. This one is only available in-store at the St. Robert location, not online. If you're passing through on Route 66, it's a reason to stop in person rather than order ahead.

In-store only — 14400 Hwy Z, St. Robert, MO 65584

#3 — Peanut Butter Chocolate

Peanut Butter Chocolate Fudge

"Two all-time greats combined in one wonderful fudge."

There is nothing more to say. Peanut butter and chocolate have been a correct combination since before anyone alive can remember, and Uranus does not overthink it. Dense, rich, and the flavor that disappears fastest from any sampler box.

#4 — Toffee

Toffee Bar Fudge

"Vanilla base with Heath on top. A great choice."

Zackary is measured in his praise here, which is itself informative — coming from someone who would take Blueberry Cheesecake to his grave, "a great choice" means it's genuinely excellent. The vanilla fudge base is clean and buttery; the Heath toffee on top adds crunch and a caramelized sweetness that makes this one of the more texturally interesting flavors in the lineup.

#5 — M&Ms

M&Ms Fudge

"A classic chocolate base, M&Ms on top, a favourite for kids. As soon as they see M&Ms, they get excited."

The most visually appealing fudge in the case and the one that reliably stops children in their tracks. The colorful M&Ms on a chocolate fudge base are hard to walk past. For families with kids, this is the guaranteed crowd-pleaser — order this first, then get something for yourself.

#6 — Rocky Road

rocky-road-fudge-from-uranus-general-31268.jpg

"Most compact and dense fudge, fluffy marshmallows and chunky nuts."

The texture description is the selling point. Rocky Road is the heaviest fudge in the lineup — dense chocolate base, marshmallows that stay fluffy rather than chewy, and substantial nut pieces that give each bite a different composition. If you want something that will genuinely fill you up, this is it.

#7 — Raspberry Vanilla

Raspberry Vanilla Fudge

"Tart, fruity flavour, real raspberry, real vanilla."

The only fruit-forward flavor in the lineup and a genuine outlier — in a good way. Real raspberry against real vanilla gives this one a brightness that most fudge doesn't have. It's lighter than the chocolate-based flavors and the one most likely to appeal to someone who doesn't usually eat fudge. Also the most underrated flavor in the case according to Zackary, which is worth noting.

#8 — Cookies & Cream

cookies and cream fudge

"Oreos. They speak for themselves."

They do. Vanilla fudge base, Oreo pieces throughout, the combination that has never once failed to satisfy anyone. Zackary's brevity here is not dismissiveness — it's confidence. This flavor needs no explanation and gets none.

#9 — Chocolate Pecan

Chocolate Pecan Fudge

"A hit with the older generation. Chocolate Pecan and Maple Walnut are more old school flavours. I call them the Mammy and Pappy flavours."

The Mammy and Pappy flavors. Chocolate Pecan is classic fudge — the kind your grandmother made, or bought, or received in a tin from someone who knew what they were doing. Rich chocolate with substantial pecan pieces. It's not flashy. It doesn't need to be. The older generation is right about this one.

#10 — Maple Walnut

Maple Walnut Fudge

See #9.

The other half of the Mammy and Pappy duo. Maple Walnut is the flavor that sells out on busy Saturdays by early afternoon — the road-tripper crowd that grew up with this flavor will buy it by the pound. Warm maple sweetness, substantial walnut pieces, and an old-school credibility that the newer flavors are still working to earn.

#11 — Butterfinger

Butterfinger Fudge

"A classic topping for a classic fudge."

Last on the list, but last on Zackary's list is still fudge made fresh in our kitchen every day. The Butterfinger pieces on a chocolate fudge base bring the peanut butter and crispy candy bar crunch that the original delivers, in fudge form. A solid choice for anyone who grew up reaching for the orange wrapper.

A Note on the Reduced Sugar Flavors

Zackary's ranking covers the full-sugar lineup. Uranus also makes reduced sugar versions of several flavors — Chocolate, Vanilla, Peanut Butter, and Peanut Butter Chocolate — using isomalt, maltitol, and monkfruit. Not low-calorie, but significantly lower sugar than the standard versions. Ask at the counter for current availability.

The Taste of Uranus Sampler — The Right Starting Point

If you're ordering online and can't narrow it down, the Taste of Uranus Sampler is 1.5 pounds across six of the most popular flavors and the right first order. It ships fresh — orders placed before 7 AM CST Sunday ship Monday morning.
