This selection of treats features a rich blend of sugar, chocolate liquor (some processed with alkali), cocoa butter, milk, salted and unsalted butter, and milk fat. Many recipes include sweet additions like invert syrup, corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup (HFCS), sorbitol, maltitol, maltitol syrup, polydextrose, and invertase. For texture and flavor, we use soy lecithin, vanilla, natural and artificial flavors (including maple, cheesecake, orange, lemon, strawberry, and raspberry), citric acid, and salt. Specialized ingredients found throughout the line include cherries, coconut, almonds, pecans, cashews, potato chips, pretzels (containing wheat flour, malt syrup, and yeast), nonpareil seeds, peppermint pieces, egg whites, gelatin, and white confectionery coatings. Some items also contain palm oil, palm kernel oil, hydrogenated oils, triglycerides, sodium bicarbonate, and color additives like Red 40, Blue 1, and Yellow 6.
Allergens
These products contain several major allergens that customers should be aware of. Milk is present in nearly every item through butter, cream, nonfat milk, whey, and milk fat. Soy is found in the soy lecithin used as an emulsifier. Tree Nuts are a significant component, including almonds, pecans, cashews, and coconut. Peanuts are included in the peanut butter varieties. Wheat is present in the pretzels used in certain snacks. Additionally, Eggs (egg whites) are used in some of the chewy and aerated centers.
