The products may contain sugar, chocolate liquor (processed with or without alkali), cocoa butter, milk and milk derivatives (milk fat, cream, butter, evaporated milk, calcium caseinate, whey protein, whole milk powder), and soy lecithin. Additional ingredients include eggs (egg whites), almonds, cashews, peanuts (in peanut butter), coconut, wheat (from pretzels), palm oil or hydrogenated palm/coconut oils, invert syrup, corn syrup, high-fructose corn syrup, modified corn starch, and various acids such as citric acid. The products are flavored with natural and artificial flavors, including fruit, chocolate, vanilla, cheesecake, caramel, orange, raspberry, and peppermint varieties, and may include artificial colors such as Red 40, Blue 1, and Yellow 6. Some items contain coatings or nonpareil seeds and sweeteners like maltitol, sorbitol, and polydextrose. Other minor ingredients include salt, invertase, sodium bicarbonate, preservatives such as potassium sorbate, and flavor enhancers.

These products contain several common allergens, including milk and dairy derivatives such as milk fat, cream, butter, evaporated milk, calcium caseinate, whey protein, and whole milk powder; eggs, from egg whites; tree nuts, including almonds and cashews; peanuts, from peanut butter in some varieties; soy, from soy lecithin used as an emulsifier; and wheat, from pretzels in certain items. Some products also contain coconut, from coconut or hydrogenated palm/coconut oils. Additionally, artificial colors, natural and artificial flavors, and sugar alcohols such as sorbitol and maltitol may be present, which can cause sensitivities for some individuals. Overall, the main allergens in these products are milk, egg, tree nuts, peanuts, soy, wheat, and coconut.
